{"id":6498,"date":"2009-11-18T17:00:33","date_gmt":"2009-11-18T20:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/renewables.tantramar.ca\/en\/?p=580"},"modified":"2025-02-21T17:51:25","modified_gmt":"2025-02-21T17:51:25","slug":"vision-home-moncton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/renew.tantramarhosting.ca\/fr\/vision-home-moncton\/","title":{"rendered":"VISION Home in Moncton- GT, PS, SE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2038\" title=\"eq-vision-home-artist-conception\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/eq-vision-home-artist-conception-350x223.jpg\" alt=\"eq-vision-home-artist-conception\" width=\"350\" height=\"223\" \/>Le <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmhc-schl.gc.ca\/en\/co\/maho\/yohoyohe\/heho\/eqho\/index.cfm\">projet EQuilibriumMC<\/a> fait partie d\u2019une initiative nationale de construction de maisons de d\u00e9monstration durables, lanc\u00e9e et administr\u00e9e par la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 canadienne d\u2019hypoth\u00e8ques et de logement (SCHL).<\/p>\n<p>Un des projets gagnants dans le cadre de l\u2019initiative de maisons de d\u00e9monstration durables EQuilibriumMC <a href=\"http:\/\/www.monctonvision.ca\/\">est la Maison VISION<\/a> situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Moncton.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Faits saillants de ce nouveau projet : une conception innovatrice de la maison, qui maximise le chauffage solaire passif et qui utilise, outre des panneaux photovolta\u00efques connect\u00e9s au r\u00e9seau, une pompe \u00e0 chaleur, un syst\u00e8me de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration des eaux grises et un syst\u00e8me de chauffe-eau solaire \u2013 le tout int\u00e9gr\u00e9 dans une enveloppe \u00e9conerg\u00e9tique.<\/p>\n<p>The passive solar feature is achieved by having the larger windows on the south side, with smaller light windows on the east &amp; west walls, and no window on the north side. This home has balconies above the 1st storey south facing windows which act to block the hot summer sun and prevent overheating the inside of the house. The garage is strategically placed to block the northwest winter winds.<\/p>\n<p>Other energy efficiency features of this house are; an air lock chamber at the main entrance to prevent heat loss when entering the building, a thermal mass concrete slab with in-floor radiant heat tubing connected to a geothermal heat pump, and a copper <i>drain water heat recovery<\/i> (DWHR) coil on the shower, sinks and dishwasher drain pipe. A DWHR can recover as much as 60% or better of the heat from drain water and is recirculated to the domestic hot water tank.<\/p>\n<p>The walls of the house are constructed of <i>insulated concrete form<\/i> (ICF) blocks filled with concrete reinforced with rebar. The walls are then covered with a layer of extruded polystyrene foam insulation increasing the wall insulation to R-40 and creating air tight envelope. The ceiling is insulated with cellulose to R-100.
